Description
Mix sparkling rhinestones with a soft and comfy knit and you get this 1980s full-length black cocktail sweater dress. The soft knit fabric feels like rayon or a rayon blend and is semi-sheer with horizontal "stripes" of openwork woven into it. The clear rhinestones are prong set in metal and studded into the knit. The dress has a round neckline, large shoulder pads (which could be removed easily, if desired) and modified dolman sleeves, with neat square seams where they attach to the body of the dress. The back neckline is a deep "V". Although we believe the dress was intended to be worn as shown, it also looks great turned backwards, with the "V" in front for a sexy, extra low neckline. (There are no bust darts and the dress appears to be made exactly the same front and back, so it could work either way.) The dress is unlined and rather sheer, so you may want a slip, or tights underneath. It is in very good condition, with just a few of the rhinestone studs missing from the design.
