Description
This Don Luis de España 1970's two-piece dress and cardigan-style jacket set has an eye-catching print in bright blue and coral on polyester jersey fabric. The full-length, sleeveless dress has a deeply scooped neckline and a slightly flaring skirt. It has a modified empire seam under the bust: on the left it starts from the bust dart at the side seam and runs around the back of the bodice, while on the right, instead of a bust dart, the seam is formed by two curving panels set in from under-bust to hem (see close-up photo--an unusual design). The dress has a back zipper and is unlined. The cardigan-style jacket has a single hook closure at the neckline and its simple, clean shape is set off by a neck "ruff" of "petals", made of sheer, cotton blend organza fabric in the same print as the polyester jersey. The cuffs are also trimmed with these petal-ruffles. The petals are intentionally left unfinished at the edges and do shed some threads. The set has no other issues and is in excellent condition.
