Description
The mix of chocolate brown suede and brightly colored "patchwork" needlepoint on this late 1960s purse is a great example of the design sensibility of Adolfo during the late 1960s: his clothing and accessories were intended to make a statement, rather than blend into the background. The bag has an envelope-style front flap that folds over to hide the chunky metal zipper. It is triangular in cross-section, much deeper at the base than at the top. The front flap and the back panel are covered with wool needlepoint and the sides and the front under the flap are brown suede. The top handle has a layer of needlepoint over suede. The lining is brown velveteen fabric. Designed by Adolfo for "Tally-ho", the purse still has its original hangtag and was never used. It is in excellent to mint condition with no flaws to note.
