Description
This 1960s suit has a colorful paisley print in lime and olive green, blue and lilac on a bright aqua background. The medium-weight fabric has a texture like linen, possibly a blend of cotton and rayon. The boxy jacket has three-quarter-length sleeves and a round neckline. It closes up the front with covered buttons matching the border print down its center. The same border print is used horizontally along the hem of the jacket, but here it is pieced on to line up with the vertical section of the print. (This reminds me of the way that 1960s' Pucci dresses have their border prints sewn onto the body of the dress, rather than printed all in one piece.) The straight skirt has two small pleats below the narrow waistband and closes with a side metal zipper. Each piece would also look cute worn separately: the skirt with a simple blouse or shell and the jacket with plain pants or a skirt. The suit has never been worn and is in mint condition.
