Description
This "tex-ture-ific" clutch coat from the 1950's is made of heavyweight, horizontally ribbed, rayon faille fabric. Each side has a narrow vertical pleat running from below the rounded collar to about hip height, trimmed with large, black plastic buttons. The three-quarter-length sleeves are full and straight, with extra deep armholes reaching down almost to the waist. Overall, the shape of the coat is full, but straight rather than A-line, almost like a "cocoon coat" of the 1920's. The lining is gold rayon taffeta. The coat is in excellent condition with unusual details. It will be the perfect weight to wear for spring and fall, and would also work well as an evening coat.
