Description
The design of this late 1940’s cape is spectacular! First of all, it’s a cape, period. Capes are so devil-may-care, so individual! Secondly, this cape is made of high quality deep blue and ivory wool tweed fabric, with blue gabardine trim at the up-turned collar. Thirdly, the way the stripes have been pieced together give the effect of a square yoke at the padded shoulders, and long verticals below, is very flattering and visually stunning. The cape has front slits for your arms and fastens at the neck with a single tweed-covered button. The ivory satin lining contains the cape’s only noted flaw, a dark spot (probably a burn mark) about the size of a pencil eraser. The cape is in very good condition with no other noted flaws. (And it’s a cape! You know you want one!)
