Description
This collarless ivory and camel tweed jacket from the early 1960s has a full, swingy shape through the bust and hips. The elbow-length, dolman-cut sleeves are also rather full; the jacket is fitted close to the body at the shoulder area only. It closes with large camel-colored plastic buttons and had welted pockets in front, over each hip. The flared hem hits our mannequin just below the hips, and will be a bit longer on a petite. The lining fabric is a nubby-textured rayon in creamy ivory. Although this jacket is in great condition, appearing never worn, it does have two tiny, yellowed stitches in the tweed wool, one in front and one in back (see photo). The moderate weight of this jacket makes it great for wearing in spring and fall, or for winter in a warmer climate.
