Description
This c. 60’s green and orange wool plaid suit is labeled “Christian Dior-New York.” This is a label for Christian Dior ready-to-wear garments. The jacket is cut very narrow in the shoulder and armholes, with front patch pockets with buttons and flaps at the bust. It buttons up high to a set of small lapels. The sleeves are three-quarter length. The skirt is pleated with an asymmetrical line of more green buttons up one side, and one patch pocket also on the side. The lining of the jacket is gold silk, with one bit of wear in it near the weighted chain hem. The only other visible flaws are 2 very faint spots near the left cuff (see close-up pic). It is otherwise in very good to excellent condition. NOTE: this suit is VERY small and petite. We have it displayed on our smallest mannequin, “Minnie.” Minnie’s measurements are 32” bust- 23” waist- 34” hips. This suit is a bit too small for her; so you must be a “mini” if you want to wear this suit, rather than buy it for your Christian Dior collection!
