Description
This NOS 1960's 2-piece tunic and capri pants set was probably inspired by a traditional Indian 2-piece garment--but with a much shorter tunic and much narrower pants, for a Western twist on the design. Both pieces have lovely strawberry-colored embroidered at their hems, and the semi-fitted tunic also has bright reddish-pink piping trimming the neck and sleeve openings. The steel blue fabric of the set is a crisp, medium-weight blend of rayon and polyester. The tunic is hip-length, gently fitted with darts, and closes in front with a row of buttons. The pants are high waisted with a back zipper, fitted through the hips, and cropped to just above the ankle on our mannequin. Both the tunic and the pants have their original paper tags. The tunic is in very good to excellent, unworn condition, with one tiny mark, just below the right bust, which is too faint to show in our photos. The pants are in mint condition. Just add some jeweled flat sandals and a few bangles, and you'll look casually fabulous!
