Description
Actual vintage English pennies have been dipped in a shiny gold metallic finish, and then attached to a plain back section on this stretchy disco-era belt from the 1970’s. The pennies are from 1913, 1914, 1917, 1918, 1937, 1938 and 1967, with the monarchs George V, George VI and Elizabeth II pictured on their fronts, and Britannia on the backs. (The backs of the coins are not visible since the pennies are attached to metal links on the back of the belt). The “snake-chain” stretch section of the belt allows for some variation in fit. The front of the belt is in excellent condition, but some normal wear is visible on the links behind the pennies. This belt would look great with a flowing, goddess type dress or gown, and would also make a fun gift for a lady coin collector, 20th century historian or Anglophile!
