Description
This late 1940's jacket in heather taupe wool gabardine is a great weight for fall, or winter in warmer climates. It has large, padded shoulders, a pointed collar, patch pockets and full-length sleeves with decorative triangular flaps. The eye-shaped buttons are tortoise lucite set in gold-tone metal. The shape is gently flared from the shoulder to the hem, rather than very full and swingy. It is fully lined with apricot rayon crepe. In very good condition, the jacket has several difficult to see munches; only one tiny munch goes all the way through the fabric to make a hole (see photos for the two most noticeable ones). It has been dry cleaned, and the fabric appears stable. It fits more or less like a modern size medium, but please check the measurements for more details.
