Description
This evening gown from the late 1960s (or possibly 1970) is made of yards and yards or sheer, shell pink organza with a gold metallic brocade zig-zag pattern. The illusion bodice has a sweetheart neckline in pink rayon crepe with a plunging v-neck bodice over it in the organza fabric. The very full, puffed long sleeves have fitted cuffs that close with covered snaps. They are unlined except at the cuffs. A three-inch wide panel of metallic gold braid just below the bust creates the empire-waist silhouette. It is studded with colorful, prong-set rhinestones, for even more sparkle. The skirt is gathered at the waistband and is cut very full from the waist to the hem. The skirt section is also lined with pink rayon crepe, since the organza fabric is quite sheer. The dress fastens with a vinyl zipper at the center back. It is quite small in the ribcage area, where the gold braided waistband cinches the high waist, so please check the measurements carefully, and feel free to contact us with any questions about fit. In very good condition, the dress has a few light spots on the lining fabric, which are not visible when the dress is worn, since they are hidden behind the patterned organza.
