This pretty peachy pink lace, late 1950s or early 1960s party dress is the perfect vintage frock for a spring or summer formal or other fancy event! The tea-length full skirt has an outer layer of lace over a layer of acetate taffeta—both fabrics are fairly stiff, and make a wonderful rustling sound when you move—or dance! Underneath the lace and taffeta skirt is another, under-skirt layer, with taffeta from waist to hips and stiffened muslin below, to add fullness and body to the skirt—although an additional crinoline could be worn, for even more fullness. The fitted, sleeveless bodice has a pointed waist seam in front, flattering princess seaming, and a draped neckline of nylon chiffon, which extends into a double flyaway panel in back, nearly hem-length. The dress fastens with a metal zipper in back. There is one tiny spot on the skirt, near the left front hem, and some yellowing to the bodice around the edges of the underarms (see close-up photos). Neither of these small issues should be noticed when this lacy cupcake of a 1960s pink party dress is worn. It is in very good condition, freshly dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
