Description
This shield-shaped 1930s dress clip has bright red marquise-cut stones mixed with smaller clear rhinestones. The stones are set in silver-tone "pot metal" which is rather heavy. It closes with a large clip on the back and will look especially fabulous worn on the v-neckline (front or back) of a dress or evening gown. As with many rhinestone pieces of the Depression-era, the stones were glued in and some of that glue, used on the smaller stones, has yellowed over time. This should not be very noticeable when the clip is worn. Also, the back of the metal setting is somewhat tarnished; the front looks fine, however. The clip is in very good condition, with no other issues.
