Description
The pewter-colored metal of this 1960's link belt is stamped with three different classical Roman designs: the heads of Minerva and Mars, and a Greek soldier on a horse. (Yes, Minerva and Mars are the names for the Roman gods, but the soldier definitely looks Greek, so go figure!) The round metal links make up about two-thirds of the length of the belt and the rest is a round link chain, which fastens with a hook to adjust the length of the belt. While the front sides of the figural discs are in nice condition, there is some wear on the back of each one (not visible when the belt is worn) and minor wear to the surface of the metal on the chain section. The belt is in very good condition, and the images stamped onto the links are nicely detailed.
