Description
If this royal blue and white knit 1970's maxi dress and matching cardigan look familiar, it is probably because they have a very similar look and feel to vintage pieces of this era by St. John Knits. The soft but substantial acrylic knit is slightly nubby and the simple but chic shape of both pieces is reminiscent of their designs. The full-length, sleeveless dress has a white button placket that can be undone to create a front slit in the skirt, as high as you dare to go! The matching royal blue cardigan has white knit trim at the round neckline, button placket and three-quarter sleeves. Both the dress and the cardigan are unlined. Each piece of this set will also look quite nice worn separately: for example you could pair the cardigan with pants or a skirt for work, and the dress would be perfectly lovely with chunky white espadrilles and white shawl thrown over it for a spring or summer look. The set is in very good to excellent condition, with minor pilling to the knit at the back of the skirt.
