Description
This salmon pink linen traditional Austrian-style dirndl skirt is trimmed with sweet green and ivory embroidery at the waist and hem. The skirt is full below the flat waistband and a row of cartridge pleats at the high hip. Several rows of horizontal pleating add visual interest at the hem. A narrow sash belt cinches the waist and has a removable "pocket" attachment with a button closure. The soft linen fabric is unlined and quite crisp, since the skirt has never been worn. It is in mint condition with its original hangtag. The original price of the skirt was $200 (sometime in the 1980s), so it was a rather expensive item. One can see why, given that it is very well made.
