Size: fabric measures 52” by 44.5”
Label: Alfred Shaheen
This 70s vintage Shaheen shift dress and/or hostess skirt sewing pattern comes with the fabric to make it: a “Baccara Rose” double panel, in yellow and dark green on a background of ivory fabric, hand printed in Hawaii. (The whole piece of fabric is shown here folded in half--there are two "panels", still attached, each with the yellow roses print.) The pattern was purchased in Hawaii in the 1970s, based on the original receipt that came with it. It is uncut--and never even unfolded! It was designed to create one of these garments, pictured on the pattern envelope, using the rose print fabric that was purchased at the same time. The pattern is sized to fit vintage sizes from 6 to 18. The fabric is in mint condition and the pattern is in excellent condition, with one small tear to the front of the paper envelope. All you would need is a few notions (buttons, bias trim, and a zipper, for 2 of the looks) and your sewing talents, to create a brand new, “vintage” Shaheen dress or skirt!
