This dramatic, authentic vintage 1940s wedding headpiece is unusual: an off-white tulle wedding veil attached to a pearl-trimmed ivory satin “crown” in a Tudor or Renaissance-inspired style. The double-layered elbow-length veil can be worn with both layers behind the headpiece, as shown, or with one layer draped over the face in front. A tiny tulle ruffle to match the ivory veil edges the top of the satin headpiece. A row of tiny ivory pearls frames the curved front opening. In back, the headpiece has a flat panel (designed to rest on the back of the head) with a U-shaped cutout at the center. This back panel has one tiny dark spot and one tiny frayed area to the fabric, both hidden by the veiling when the headpiece is worn (see close-up photo). The veil itself has some fraying to the front edges and two light rust colored marks near the bottom of one layer (see photos). Totally wearable and in very good condition, this unique, vintage 1940s wedding headpiece and veil has no other flaws to note.
