Description
This white cotton piqué fabric of this swimsuit from the 1960's has tiny fruit decorating it, done in fuzzy yarn embroidery in two bright shades: hot pink and hot orange. The double straps match the bright orange embroidery. The suit has a boned bodice with shirred sides and straight legs. It is fully lined in white cotton except the center back of the bodice, next to the metal zipper. The straps can be buttoned to cross in back as shown, or you can wear them straight if you prefer (or if you need the extra length). Tiny belt loops at the waist seam tell us that the swimsuit once had a matching belt, which is missing. It is in good, wearable condition, with these issues: the missing belt, two very faint yellow marks on the piqué fabric at the left hip and the leg elastic has lost its stretch (and yellowed the edge of the lining fabric) and will need to be replaced. None of these issues should be noticeable when the suit is worn, and it is super-cute!
