Description
Gorgeous as a nightgown, this bias-cut 1930’s gown could also make a pretty dress if you’d like. The soft, flowing white rayon fabric is printed all over with darling bouquets of flowers. The shape of the nightgown is the classic curve hugging bias-cut of the era, slightly gathered in front, at the high waist and at the shoulders. In very good to excellent condition, the nightgown has no spots or marks visible, but the inside edges of the seams are frayed a bit from washing—not fragile, but fuzzy. This is noticeable only if the gown is turned inside out, except at the hem, where the little strings could be kept trimmed. It seems that the nightgown is quite small: even though the bias-cut has some give, it was a gentle struggle to get it onto our mannequin. So, (since your arms don’t come off like hers do) check the measurements carefully, and be aware that smaller shoulders will make it easier to get in and out of this nightgown.
