This 1920s day dress has a “rustic” or country-style look to it—very wearable and more casual than most 1920s dresses we have found. The dress is made of brown and ivory gingham checked, sturdy, crepe-textured, woven fabric (feels like mid-weight cotton, or a cotton/rayon blend) with dainty lace trim on the collar and center front neckline opening, the three-quarter-length sleeve cuffs, and the front pockets (yay—pockets!). The deep, rounded neckline has a ribbon tie at the top, along with a single snap, which are the only openings—it must be pulled on over the head. The dress has the unstructured, tubular shape of most 1920s garments, and is designed to fit somewhat loosely. It I unlined and in near excellent condition: its only issue is some fraying to the ends of the neckline ribbon ties. This sweet 1920s dress would be perfect for a vintage-themed picnic, with its farm-girl-meets-flapper look!
