1930s deco necklace set earrings clear crystal ice cube

Current Stock:

Label: R. F. Simmons Company
Necklace: 15” long. Largest center bead measures .5”
Earrings: 2.25” long drop

This 1930s necklace and drop earrings set by jewelry maker R. F. Simmons combines large, faceted clear crystal (or leaded glass) beads with what appear to be tiny gold-filled metal spacers, between small crystal spacer beads. This beautifully cut, crystal bead choker necklace is strung on fine, gold-colored chain. The chain is probably also gold-filled, since the R. F. Simmons Company of Attleboro MA, founded in 1875, was originally known for their fine quality, gold-filled watch chains. The graduated, cut crystal beads are hexagonal (the larger beads) and square (smaller beads)--they resemble ice cubes! The necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp, and the smaller ring that it attaches to is stamped “SIMMONS”. The dangling earrings hang from adjustable screw-backs. This elegant 1930s deco-era necklace set is in excellent condition, with no flaws to note other than a bit of tarnish to the metal of the necklace clasp and earrings backs—see close-up photos.
