Necklace: 15” long; each flower link measures .5” across
Bracelet: 7.5” long
Label: LUSTERN (Louis Stern Co.)
This feminine 1940s necklace and bracelet set has brass metal flower links set with blue rhinestone centers. Each of the floral links has a dotted texture on each petal. The choker necklace has a hinged clasp, as does the bracelet, and the bracelet also has a delicate safety chain. Both pieces are stamped “LUSTERN” on the back of their clasps. This is the jewelry mark for Louis Stern Co., based in Providence, RI and in business from 1871 to approximately 1950. The set is in very good to excellent condition, with some minor wear to the gold-colored plating, visible only on the back of the necklace and bracelet, and on the clasps—therefore unlikely to be noticed when the set is worn. The plating may be real gold, possibly 10K or 12K, since many other contemporary Lustern items were in fact gold-filled.
