This circa late 1940s skirt in navy rayon with an aqua and pink berries novelty print has the fuller silhouette and shorter length of the immediately post-war era. The skirt fastens with a side metal zipper and hooks closed at the fitted waistband. It is unlined, and most likely home-sewn—as evidenced by the somewhat uneven hem, which is a bit longer in some places than others, although it should not be particularly noticeable when worn. The skirt is in very good to excellent condition, with no issues to note other than the hem-length discrepancy. The full, flaring shape of this teen- or junior-sized, 1940s novelty print skirt will be great for dancing—calling all extra small-sized bobbysoxers!
