This sky blue linen-textured dress from the late 1950s or early 60s has lovely floral embroidery decorating its front side. The fitted, cap-sleeve bodice and pencil skirt have darts for shaping from the bust to the hips. A skinny, self-fabric belt cinches the waist. The narrow skirt has a kick pleat at the back hem, for ease of walking. The medium-weight fabric looks and feels a lot like linen, but is most likely a blend of rayon and acetate. The dress may have been shortened, since it has a very deep, 3.5-inch hem, currently. In near excellent condition, appearing unworn, the only issue with this lovely 1950s-60s “wiggle dress” is a tiny, faint mark on the side of the belt (see photo).
