These metallic gold 1950s evening sandals in real snakeskin and leather are simply fabulous! A sexy, bombshell-worthy style, these authentic 1950s slingback sandals were never worn—an added bonus! The shoes have leather linings and metal buckles to adjust the slingback straps. The shoes have had an unusual, international journey to reach us here in Chicago: originally purchased in Beirut, at a Lebanese outpost of “Chaussures Leon”—the oldest shoe shop in Luxembourg, open since 1924. Despite all of their traveling, they were unworn, and will come to their new owner in very good condition. Their only issues are a some darkening of the glue attaching the insoles, and a bit of wear to the delicate snakeskin from their long storage (see close-up photos: the natural, brownish-red color of the snakeskin shows through, on the back of one heel and the back portion of one strap, where the gold lamé treatment has worn off the scales). The soles are stamped size 7. Since vintage shoes tend to run smaller and more narrow than modern ones do, please check the measurements for more details to compare with shoes that fit you well—and feel free to contact us with any specific sizing questions.
