This mocha brown, circa late 1940s through mid 1950s men’s pullover sweater is a jacquard knit in lightweight wool, with an all-over, but small and subtle, ducks design. The flat, smooth knit is accented with ribbed trim at the crew neckline, cuffs, and hem. The knit is relatively tight, so, although it does have some give to it, the sweater does not stretch a great deal. As you can see, as shown on our approximately size 40 male mannequin, the sweater is quite fitted when worn. The sleeve length is fairly short, making this vintage sweater best for a shorter man (it may have been designed for a young/teen boy’s size range, rather than adult)—see measurements for details. This midcentury men’s sweater is in excellent condition—and the ducks pattern is classically preppy, true vintage menswear!
