A 2-piece 1950s sweater dress set in nubby black wool knit, including a roll neck sweater top with cuffed, three-quarter-length sleeves and a curve-hugging pencil skirt. The top has cute decorative buttons and bow trim in front. It is approximately waist-length, covering the elastic waistband of the matching skirt by only an inch or 2. Both pieces are unlined. The sweater top has a metal zipper at the back of the neck, while skirt has no fastenings—it just pulls on, with its elastic waist. The skirt has a deep, 2.25-inch hem, so it may have originally been longer—easy to let the hem back down, if you prefer. The medium weight knit wool is warm and cozy, but not bulky. This classic 1950s sweater dress set is in excellent condition.
