This darling—and teeny-tiny—black and red cherries late 1960s or early 70s empire-waist mini dress has some of the best sleeves I’ve ever seen! They have double puffs, separated by gathers and trimmed with a cute little red satin ribbon bow on each puff! Below the 2nd puff of the sleeve is a fitted section from just below the elbow. (Because the dress is so petite, the sleeves only come to about mid-forearm-length on our mannequin.) The dress has 2 layers: an outer layer of black, lightweight and semi-sheer poly-cotton fabric, embroidered with red and cherries and flowers, and an under-layer of opaque, heavier black poly-cotton. Below the scoop neckline, the bust is shaped by tiny, vertical darts, above the very high, horizontal seam under the bust. The very short skirt is just slightly A-line. The dress fastens in back with a metal zipper. It appears unworn, in excellent to mint condition. Labeled a vintage young teen or “junior” size (7), the dress will fit a small-busted, modern XXS petite, I think. Please check the measurements carefully, since it is considerably too small and petite for our mannequin in the bust area. This high-waisted and puff-sleeved late 60s mini dress is one of the cutest I’ve seen!
