This 2 strand pink and lilac glass beads 1960s necklace combines large, smooth, pink-swirled Venetian glass beads with lilac faceted glass beads. The glass beads have been treated with an iridescent finish, often called “aurora borealis” or ab for short. Smaller, clear glass faceted beads make up the back third of the necklace, and all of the beads are separated using tiny spacers in gold glass and bright gold metal. The necklace closes with a round box clasp set with a pink swirl glass cabochon. The back of the clasp is stamped “Made in France” This chunky 1960s necklace is in very good condition--it would be in excellent condition except for some tarnish to the back of the clasp (see photo).
