Size: 17” long. Largest, gold pearl beads are 1” long each
This fruit and wood bead deadstock vintage necklace from the late 70s or early 80s is worthy of a New Wave era Carmen Miranda! The necklace mixes peach, natural and metallic gold-pearl-painted wooden beads with shiny plastic fruit charms and turquoise leaves. It fastens with a large metal hook clasp. In very good to excellent condition, some of the fruit charms have a bit of paint misplaced, which is an original production flaw rather than the result of any damage, since it has in fact never been worn. The only other possible issue with this fun and fruity necklace is that the leaves can be a bit sharp, so you may need to be somewhat careful not to let anyone (babies and toddlers--or impetuous significant others?) pull on it when you are wearing it.
