This iridescent metallic brocade 1960s cocktail dress and bolero jacket set is simply show stopping! The mini dress features clear rhinestone straps, a fitted bodice with a scooped neckline, and a mid-thigh-length skirt. The skirt has gathered interfacing inside, just below the fitted waist seam, which creates a bit of fullness at the top of the hips—and the look of a tinier waist! It is just barely flared from hips to hem. The swingy, cropped jacket has a wide, round neckline and fastens with a single large button. The elbow-length sleeves are boxy and wide. The jacket is slightly longer in front than at the sides and back, and it is lined with black rayon taffeta. The dress is unlined, except for the interfacing at the high hip, and it fastens with a plastic zipper at the side seam. The metallic brocade fabric is actually quite light and flexible, although it is a bit stiff due to the metallic fibers in the weave. It feels most like an acetate and rayon blend, crisp but lightweight. In excellent condition, this gorgeous 1960s party dress and jacket set will make quite an entrance at your next event!
