This asymmetrical 1930s tilt hat in black rayon velvet has a fabulous, sculptural shape. The wired, flat, circular crown shades the right side of the face, creating an air of mystery! On the underside of the flat, saucer-shaped crown, the velvet fabric is gathered into tiny pleats. The back of the hat is pleated and shaped to hug the head, maintaining the angle of the tilted front section. The higher, left side of the hat I trimmed with a flat grosgrain ribbon bow. The hat is fully lined with stiff but lightweight interfacing, to give more body to the soft velvet fabric. In very good, near excellent condition, the hat’s only issue is some minor makeup discoloration to front section of the inner grosgrain band, not seen when it is worn. This sharp, 1930s black velvet tilt hat will look especially great with a tailored skirt suit or jacket!
