An elegantly simple, deadstock vintage, LBD from the early 1960s, this hourglass-shaped sheath dress and matching jacket with beaded fringe will be chic for almost any occasion! The scoop-neck dress has cap sleeves, darts to shape the curves at bust, waist and hip, and a kick pleat at the back hem. It fastens with a metal zipper and is lined with acetate taffeta. The black fabric of both the dress and the matching jacket is a slightly slub-textured, mid-to-lightweight textile that feels like raw silk, but is most likely a blend of rayon and acetate. Topping of the perfect black dress, the waist-length, v-neck, bolero-style jacket has an attached scarf. The scarf, along with the body of the jacket is lined with contrasting white fabric. (The sleeves are lined with black taffeta like the dress.) The elbow-length sleeves and hem are edged with piping, with lavish black beaded fringe below, to match the black beaded, single large button that closes the jacket. Both pieces are deadstock, unworn, authentic vintage with their original paper size hangtags still attached. They are both in excellent to mint condition. This 1960s dress and jacket set is quite well made and good as new—ready to step out in style for your next cocktail party or event!
