American designer and architect Bill Atkinson created this streamlined, space-age-style, mod 1960s ladies’ 2-piece pant suit in bright red-orange wool for Glen of Michigan. The tunic-length top and high-waisted, straight-leg pant both have clean, simple lines--yet they are impeccably designed. The funnel neck, long-sleeved top is just slightly flared from the bust to the hip-length hem. The pant has a flattering back yoke below the fitted, bandless waist, L-shaped pockets in front, and knife-edge creases down the front and back of the legs. The pant fastens with nylon zipper and single hook at the front waist. The tunic has a nylon zipper in back. Both pieces of the set are unlined. The lightweight wool fabric has almost no stretch to it (it is a woven textile, not a knit). The set is deadstock vintage, unworn, in excellent to mint condition. I took one photo with a belt (not included), to show how fab this Bill Atkinson 1960s pantsuit would look with a chain belt worn just above the hips!
