Rows of flapper style fringe trims the skirt of this black 1960s party dress—great for dancing! Dating from the era of the early 1960s, when 1920s style influences were all the rage, this authentic vintage LBD is perfect for your next cocktail party or other event. The sleeveless, scoop neck bodice is fitted and shaped by bust darts. (Like many 60s dresses, the bust darts are quite high, requiring a push-up or vintage bullet bra for best fit.) A bow trims the underbust seam, above the many rows of fringe on the skirt. Both the bodice and the skirt (underneath the fringe) are made of medium-weight rayon crepe. The dress fastens with metal zipper in back and it is in very good condition with one issue: the bodice is lined with taffeta, which is somewhat faded. This fading is really only noticeable when the dress is inside out, except for just the faintest hint of fading to the crepe, right underneath the arm openings (see side-view photos). It is unlikely to be noticed when this fabulous, fringed 1960s cocktail dress is worn.
