This versatile black bolero jacket or cropped blouse dates from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The jacket or blouse has medium-sized shoulder pads, short, cuffed sleeves and a pointed collar. The points on each sleeve cuff echo the shape of the wide collar. Black plastic and rhinestone buttons close the top in front, and decorate the sleeve cuffs. Two vertical darts and diagonal bust darts shape the jacket at bust and waist/hem, so that it tapers from the squared shoulders to the fitted hem. The medium-weight, linen-textured fabric is probably a blend of rayon and cotton, In excellent to mint condition, appearing unworn, this deadstock black 1950s bolero jacket or blouse will look great paired with a high-waisted skirt or wide-leg pants, or worn as an extra layer over your favorite vintage dress.
