This 1940s knit wool scarf and gloves set combines shades of rust brown, black and ivory in a diagonal plaid pattern. The fabric is a one-sided wool jersey, relatively lightweight, but still warm and cozy. The scarf is a long rectangle shape, with a narrow band of fringe at each end. The matching gloves are just past wrist length, with curved hems. Unlined, they have just a bit of stretch to them. The gloves are labeled a size 7 ½, or around a modern medium, but please see the measurements for more details about fit. (I am a glove size 7, and they are just a bit large for me.) The scarf is long enough to be wrapped around the head, as shown. However you choose to wear it, this 40s scarf and gloves set will liven up the dullest winter day! It is in excellent condition.
