Description
This full-skirted 1950s cocktail or party dress is made of one of my favorite vintage textiles: eyelash fabric! The crisp black rayon taffeta is woven all over with tiny tassels or eyelashes, giving it a fabulous texture! Even better, the dress has a classic fit-and-flare 1950s silhouette, with its fitted, sweetheart bodice, underbust seaming, and dropped waist seam above a full skirt, lined with papery interfacing to add lots of volume! The short sleeve hems have small curved slits, to match the curving neckline. Gathers under the bust and rows of vertical seaming from the underbust seam to the dropped waist shape the fitted bodice. The full skirt has lots of tiny gathers at the dropped waist/high hip seam. Only the skirt portion of the dress is lined, with the aforementioned interfacing. It fastens with metal zipper and single hook, below the back V-neckline. The dress is shown with an additional crinoline underneath, which is not included. Recently dry-cleaned and ready for your next party or event, this true vintage 1950s dress is in excellent condition.

- Natural waist: 27 inches flat, to fit up to 26.

- Length: 41.5 inches from shoulder to hem in front.
- Underarm to dropped waist seam: 12 inches.
- Sleeve: 7.5 inches long with 10-inch opening.
