Lovely black glass beading trims the black knit wool of this late 1950s or early 1960s evening top. Rows of tube beaded echo the shape of the scalloped scoop neckline, elbow-length sleeve hems, and bodice hem. Scattered seed beads cover the entire top, with an intricate, center-front floral design picked out in more black glass beads, plus charcoal grey pearl beads. The hourglass shape of the top is created using bust darts and vertical seaming at the waist. The top fastens with a metal zipper in back, from neck to hem. It is lined with lightweight black silk. In excellent condition, this 1950s-60s beaded evening top will look fantastic paired with a pencil skirt or cigarette pant, as shown in some of my photos (fabulous XXS 1950s-60s metallic gold pant shown is not included!).
