This haute hippie late 1960s dress has flower power indeed! The swirling, blue and white daisies print really pops against the light aqua background. The empire waist dress has a fitted, high-waisted bodice, a square neckline and a full length, slightly full skirt. The long, puffed sleeves gathered into ruffles at the cuffs with elastic. The silky, lightweight floral fabric feels like a nylon or polyester blend. It is slightly sheer, but it is not see-thru, since it is lined with muslin type fabric (except for the sleeves which are unlined). The dress fastens in back with an unusual type of zipper: a metal, rather than plastic, “invisible” zipper. This groovy 60s dress comes with two dark blue velvet ribbons, to wear as you choose. We like the wider one worn as a sash, as shown, and the skinnier one as a choker, or perhaps in your hair? In excellent condition, this boho style, empire waist 1960s dress could be worn for either day or evening—although, based on the silky fabric, it was probably intended as eveningwear.
