This slinky nylon Italian disco shirt by Nik-Nik is a classic of the 1970s era! Known for their creative designs, often influenced by 1920s-deco imagery, Nik-Nik disco shirts were made in Italy, in limited editions, in both men’s and women’s sizes, according to an ad for the brand from 1975 (see last photo). The nylon jersey fabric is shiny and lightweight, with a bit more clingy and close-to-the-body fit than the typical 70s polyester disco shirt. This particular ladies’ Nik-Nik shirt is a soft blue with a circa 1920s flapper tennis player design in white, rose pink, burgundy, and aqua. The fitted, high-hip-length blouse has buttons down the front and at the sleeve cuffs, all marked “Nik-Nik”. It is quite small in size, best for a modern size XS/petite—see measurements for more details. It is in very good condition, with one tiny mend at the top of the left shoulder (see close-up photo).
