Size: 13.5” wide by 6” tall by 2.5” deep at base, with 13” top handle
Label: Palizzio…Very New York
This early 1960s structured frame handbag is made of lizard skin in a fabulous, unusual midnight blue color--lighter than navy, but a rich shade of blue, with a shiny finish. Like many late 1950s and early 1960s bags, the purse is a horizontal rectangle, much wider than it is tall. The frame and top handle are both made of the same blue lizard, and the bag opens with a gold metal, hinged clasp. There are 4 metal feet on the base, to help the bag stand upright. The flat sides have two large panels, and one center “pleat”. The bag is lined with tan leather, including 3 slip pockets. In excellent condition, this classic vintage handbag will look appropriate with everything from a cocktail dress to denim!
