This lightweight slubbed rayon 1950s skirt suit in copper brown is a tailored classic! The hip length jacket has a gently curvy shape, sculpted by front and back vertical seaming, for a flattering fit. It has lightly padded shoulders, notched lapels and cuffed sleeves, plus pockets at each hip. The matching pencil skirt fastens with a side metal zip and has no kick pleat or slit at the hem. Speaking of hems, the skirt has 3 inches of turned under fabric at its hem, so it can be easily let down, if a longer length is desired. Both pieces of the suit are unlined, but the jacket does have some interfacing at the hip area to give it body and shape. The jacket has been let out just slightly under each arm, where the seams appear a bit rough—this should be hard to notice when worn, though, unless you raise and hold your arms up for inspection. There is also one tiny and quite faint spot on the back of the skirt, near the center seam, which is nearly hidden under the hem of the jacket when it is worn (see photos). In very good condition, the suit has no other issues. A great suit to dress up or down, for work or evening, with a quick change of accessories!
