Charcoal grey cashmere cardigan 1940s-50s | XS-S

1950s Clothing

This late 1940s or early 1950s cashmere cardigan sweater by Hogg of Hawick is a versatile shade of charcoal grey heather. The short sleeves are slightly puffed, with ribbed trim at the hems. The high, round neckline has the tiniest collar. The body of the cardigan is fitted to the waist, in classic “sweater girl” style, with ribbed trim at the hem. Charcoal grey buttons fasten the sweater in front.  The lovely, soft cashmere is light as a feather, and of very fine quality. This 1940s-50s cashmere cardigan is in excellent condition, and should fit approximately a modern size XS to S—see measurements for more details about size.
