This perfectly pin-up-worthy, 1940s bias-cut nightgown combines dainty ivory lace with sheer rayon chiffon in a salmon pink or coral shade. A “bow” design is inset into the left side of the bodice—a really lovely detail! One wide shoulder strap is fixed, while the other ties at the top—possibly to balance the asymmetrical design of the bow on the other side of the front bodice. The back bodice is all lace, down to the waist panel. Both the floral lace and the chiffon fabric are quite sheer, and the bias-cut fabric will drape over your every curve—this is one glamorously sexy vintage nightgown! In very good condition, the nightgown has some spots on both straps, possibly from being hung on a wire or wooden hanger, over the years (on the back of the left strap, and near the ends of the right/tied strap—see photos). There are also a few, much lighter marks scattered over the skirt section, the most noticeable about one inch up from the hem in front. We have tried to photograph this as well, but I’m not sure that you can actually see it in our close-up photo; it’s quite faint. This gorgeous piece of true vintage 1940s lingerie will be a pleasure to wear, and it would be great for a pin-up photo shoot, too!
