This dark navy blue straw tilt hat from the late 1930s or early 1940s has a narrow, curled brim at the front and sides, and curves downward at the back, to rest on the back of the head. The tall crown has a flattened oval top, giving the hat a shape similar to a tiny top hat. A spray of fabric flowers trims the back of the crown, and a band of navy netting circles the crown, then ties in back. In very good condition the hat has 2 issues: the fabric flowers are faded and discolored form age and storage (they could easily be replaced), and there is a bit of soiling from makeup to the inner grosgrain band, not seen when the hat is worn. This true vintage 1930s-40s straw hat in navy blue will perch happily above your favorite spring and summer suits and dresses!
