Deadstock, unworn, and as crisp and lovely as the day it was made, this 1950s plaid cotton shirtwaist dress combines shades of purple, blue, teal green, black, and mocha. The bodice has short, cuffed sleeves and a small collar above the tiny button and loop that fastens it. A large grey shell decorative button trims the tab that runs down the center front of the bodice, while the functional center front button placket is hidden underneath. Tiny snaps fasten the front waist. The full, pleated skirt has 2 more decorative shell buttons/tabs. The lightweight, plain weave cotton fabric is still crisp with its original fabric finish. This plaid cotton 1950s dress is a true vintage, mid-century preppy style—a versatile classic! It is in excellent to mint condition, unworn, with no flaws to note.
