LABEL: Louis Féraud, made in W. Germany
With its boxy, high-collared jacket and knee-length pleated skirt, this designer Louis Féraud vintage skirt suit dates from the late 1970s or the very early 80s. The jacket and skirt are made of lightweight wool printed with black and brown swirling designs. The three-quarter-sleeve jacket has black velveteen trim on the collar, front edges and pockets, with no fastenings. The skirt has wide, flat pleats only in the front—the back is slightly gatheredat the waistband. It closes with a side zipper. Both the jacket and skirt are lined in a silky brown rayon fabric, which on the jacket is printed with the designer’s name. The suit is in very good condition with two tiny and hard to see moth nips in the wool fabric of the skirt.(We can provide a close-up photo of them, if you are interested.) They should not be visible when this stylish suit is worn. The jacket and skirt could also be worn separately, for even more wardrobe options!
